Frequently Asked Questions
When is "osnap perpendicular" activated by CadetRC®?
Osnap perp is turned on at the start of the process of creating range bar labels, link range labels or when editing a range label using the 'add range' option. When the operation is complete the original osnap setting is restored. This is meant as a designed aid, used with previously drawn construction lines, to assist when picking the start and end position of ranges.

How can I get my bars in a drawing to be plotted thicker?

Since AutoCAD® 2000, if you assign a width to a polyline, it overrides plot styles, lineweights and even plotter settings and plots the width of the line to scale.  To get a polyline to plot using the width assigned to a color, you have to assign it a zero width. CadetRC® provides the "Toggle zero width bars" button on the Utilities toolbar or on the pulldown menu to do this. Use this button to turn all bars to zero width before plotting and use it again after plotting to restore to true width.

When creating a bending schedule, the columns of information do not all line up.
Use a fixed-width font such as monotxt.shx for the bending schedule text to be inserted into the drawing.
